Kyuhyun Fun Facts

I found some stuff of Kyu’s information.. some of his private details, and they are very cute! LOL. I’m not sure if they are 100% true, but it’s just for spreading the love! So, here goes!

♥ When he was in college, there was a period when he ate a lot and became pretty chubby, but he went on a diet before debut and then he was as skinny as Hyukjae but after the accident he lost 20 kg!

♥ His family consists of his parents and an older sister and his father is the country’s Revision/Review Association Chairman. The whole family dotes on Kyu a lot, conversely, they are very strict towards his sister.

♥ When he was 16/17, he joined the Buddy Star Contest and he came in 3rd!!

♥ The other members have told him before, Kangin, “You should listen to Hyung’s words!~~” when Kyu was in a ‘rebellious’ mode, lol!

♥ Apparently, Kyu didn’t suffer from pneumothorax directly from the accident, and when he was in his 3rd year of college, he had it before and went through an operation because of that, and the operating process made him suffer a lot 

♥ He says that when he sleeps, he snores really loudly (LOL! ^^;;;) and he’ll even drool!~

♥ Some funny daily-life incidents:
- Because he wanted to cook ramen for the hyungs, but he added too much water, until it became too bland.. and that’s how the “Han Gang Ramen” became famous!(LMAO!!!)
- He isn’t good at cooking, even when he tried to fry some ham, although under Kangin’s reminder, he added sesame oil instead of cooking oil XD
- He said that children always put their socks at their bed fronts on Christmas Eve to wait for Santa’s presents, but because he himself wanted a bigger present, so he hung his pants at the bed front instead (ZOMG. CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS!? *___* He’s such a smart as*! XD)
- Loves to play games, when he was schooling, he discussed games with his friends, and he even told them that he had no allowance so that he could stay at home to play games, instead of going out with them.
- Some of the games he plays are, “Thousand Years/Infinity Gaming (?)”, “Starcraft”, “Diablo” and recently, he’s been playing “Sudden Attack”…
- He especially loves gelato, and his favourite brand is Doublesice (?) (Although I have never heard of it… :/)
- His favourite movie is “The Big Swindle” (click), and he also likes “Jumong” as well as “Lovers in Paris”.
- “Jumong” has 81 episodes and it showed for 10 months, and Kyu followed it diligently! (WOW, I CAN NEVER STICK TO A SHOW FOR THAT LONG.) And since he has a soft spot for long, ancient historical dramas, he watched “Dae Jo Yeong” after that.
- He has a glib tongue which no one can beat! Even Kangin can’t handle him! LOL. (Off-screen, that is!)

HEECHUL:

One of a fan gave HeeChul a cat so when KiBum saw it. He named it HEEBUM.When HanKyung heard it,he ask how come his name wasn't included? So they added his surname,it became HAN HEEBUM.In the end member of TRAX wanted his name inside too, so they added a J inside. It finally became HAN J HEEBUM.They said that its name sounds like a JAPANESE CAT:)
HeeChul went on a tv show talking about his experience getting dumped from a girl he like during his debut.However the girl did not tell HeeChul that she has a bf. She finally told HeeChul when he was already deeply in love with her. At that time HeeChul said this to her "If you are by his side,I will not be lonely.But if you are in trouble remember that I will always be there for you."The girl however did not end with HeeChul nor the bf instead she went with another guy that asked her out after HeeChul. Sad.

KIBUM:

He always say that being a singer is God's will.This is because when KiBum was living in America, he went to church every week. And on one of the week after service, he and his group of friends went to eat spicy rice cake. Unfortunately on the way there he lost his way. And thats when he met one of the SM person that asked him to join.(AINT HE LUCKY?)

KANGIN:

KangIn had a unforgettable experience once in school. One summer, he sat in front of the fan. He started opening his mouth and making the ARH sound...so he said he finds it interesting and funny. So he started playing. Suddenly,a fly flew in his mouth(HAHAHAHHA)!. He said it was so accurate that it was stuck in his throat. He had a hard time spitting it out(EWWW). He never dares to try this again.

KYUHYUN:

Because of the limited space they have in the hostel and he was the last to join Super Junior, he didn't have a bed, I think he sleeps on the floor (like those you sees in drama). So once they went to KTR,he told the fans and within that 2 hours, the fans sent in messages saying that they want to buy him a bed so he can sleep comfortably, this made the manager got a shock. And so they went to buy a bed the next day. Feeling proud of having a bed finally, he took pics of the bed and posted on the net:)

RYEOWOOK:

There was once when RyeoWook and SungMin went to KangIn's radio show. Everyone was chatting happily expect for him. SungMin felt it immediately and asked him "WHY ARE U SO QUIET? HAVE U DONE SOMETHING WRONG?" He replied sadly that he thought todays live was open to viewers so he style his hair dressed and makeup but unfortunately today they are not going to open to allow viewers to see. When everyone heard it,they laughed so hard unil they almost cried.

EETEUK:

Before debut he was very close to Xiah JunSu and EunHyuk. So one day after training, EeTeuk being the oldest decided to treat the both of them to buns. However he only had money for 2, so he thought maybe they 3 of them can share 2 buns. So when the train was there, EunHyuk and JunSu said "hyung goodbye",  took the buns and board the train, leaving EeTeuk staring back at them blankly. He thought that he could share but they left instead.

DONGHAE:

He said that he hates celebrating birthday. Because last year Super Junior went somewhere to perform. He was looking forward to 12 o clock to come when all his members wld give him presents but they all were busy doing their own things, making him so sad, so everytime they talk about birthdays on air he always complain.

EUNHYUK:

Once when KangIn was sick, the next day he still needs to go on shows. He was so worried abt KangIn, he wanted to tell KangIn that "HYUNG IT IS HARD ON YOU. FIGHTING!". So he decided to sit down and talk to him before saying that sentence but after talking for 30 mins, he was too shy to say, so he kept in his heart.

SUNGMIN:

He loves pink like mad. Whenever he buys something he will not see the design, as long is PINK he will buy.SungMin changed his phone cover to Pink. Once SungMin decided to have a change of style and not wear pink, but when he open his cupboard he realised that most of his clothes were pink, he gave up in the end about changing his style.

YESUNG:

Everyone thought he was the most quiet member of the group but it is totally different under cam.All the members calls him naggy YeSung.There was once there was an interview when YeSung talked for 2 hours, in the end 90% was cut off. YeSung was angry but finds it funny too and he said "IS IT SO LONG UNTIL THEY CUT MOST OF IT?"

SHINDONG:

Before debut, he work a lot of different kinds of jobs. One winter he wanted a handphone so badly. But his parents wouldn't buy for him cause it was expensive st that time. So he worked at a construction site, everytime he ended work his hands will shake a lot(carry too much heavy stuff). Finally,he bought his handphone:))

HANKYUNG:

He is always praised about his cooking skills. He was in the hostel cooking once and he only found onion eggs and rice so he used these to cook. All the members praised him and asked him what is the name of this dish. Due to his poor Korean at that time he wanted to say 'EGG FRIED RICE' but instead he said 'BEIJING FRIED RICE'.So that is how the FAMOUS 'BEIJING FRIED RICE' come about.

SIWON:

He grew up in a strict family and he is afraid of his father. During his high school holiday he went to the gas station to work without letting his parents know. On the 4th day of work, he said normally to every customer PLEASE DRAW YOUR WINDOW DOWN and in the car he was serving was his father. He quit his job the next day.

Yesung's weird habit

Leeteuk: but you know, in our dorm, even though i want to respect people's privacy..our yesung, he always wants to show off his personal/private life. When i'm washing my face, he'll open the door and come in "hyung~ i'm gonna do my business" and then he stands there forever!!


Hyukjae: i know!! he doesn't even do his business.


Leeteuk: so when i'm like, "go~ leave!" and he doesn't leave!!


Hyukjae: he doesn't leave and he likes to show his personal life or something-- when i'm in the room, and when someone's showering if you don't have a towel then you open the door and ask someone to get a towel for you right? But he comes out with his clothes off and asks for a towel! Or he'll come out with his clothes off and take a towel.

Album sales hitting 100 000 for first half of year goes to SJ and SNSD

According to Korean media reports, Super Junior and SNSD have become the groups that exceeded the 100 000 album sales mark for the two albums released from this year’s 1st of January to 26th of May. Based on Korea’s Hanteo album sales results on the 27th, from the 1st of January to 26th of May, artistes whose album sales that have exceeded 100 000 only include Super Junior and SNSD. SNSD who released their second album since 28th of January have sold a total of 117 077 albums, making it the album which has the highest amount of sales. As for Super Junior’s 4th album Bonamana which was offically released on the 13th of this month, it has hit total sales of 106 891 albums, placing them in the second spot after SNSD.

Shindong: Black. Black is the most extreme of all colours.
Eeteuk: My most favourite colour – white. No colour is as pure as white.
Ryeowook: White. Actually I’m not too sure what colour describes Super Junior but white is a colour that is filled with possibilities.
Kibum: White. Because no colour can fully describe Super Junior.
Sungmin: Transparent. Because no colour can represent Super Junior.

Kangin surprises fans at Super Junior’s fan meeting

[05.23.2010]

Having been out of the limelight since his various brushes with the law, fans thought they would not be seeing Kanginagain until he had served his nation.

But they were given a surprise as Kangin appeared duringSuper Junior’s ELF 2nd fan meeting at the Seoul Olympic Park Hall on May 23rd which was attended by fans from Korea, China, Japan, Hong Kong, etc.

In an emotional exchange, with fans mostly in tears, Kangin said, “My members had suggested that I should greet my fans at this occasion before I enter the military,” and he continued, “I hope that you all will continue to show support for Super Junior and the new album. I will work hard in the army and return to you all as a better person. I’m sorry and I’ll be back healthy and well.. 13 of us will be on stage in 2 years so please wait without having an affair.”

Besides this emotional exchange, the Super Junior boys also performedBONAMANA, Coagulation and Good Person from their new album.

Kim Heechul saved the Dream Concert?

Super Junior’s Heechul saved this year’s Dream Concert?

On the 22nd, the 2010 Dream Concert was held at the Seoul Sang-Ahm World Cup arena where Heechul, 2PM’s Taecyeon and Shin Se Kyung were the MC’s.

There were no big problems during the concert but without Heechul, it wouldn’t have gone as smoothly. It wasn’t hard to see that it was his third year hosting the show.

Whenever the concert seemed to lose its energy, he would throw funny comments. The singers took longer to get ready this time and people were getting a bit impatient. Singers wouldn’t come out even after the MC’s announced them. But he would show hidden talents, start singing and dancing to stall the audience.

He helped out Taecyeon and Shin Se Kyung as well. Taecyeon would perform little snippets of his talents as well but seemed a little awkward in doing so because it was his first time hosting. Heechul would help by going along with everything.

Shin Se Kyung would not put down her cue cards and kept making awkward laughs at the jokes. Heechul would compliment her and make her sing songs to loosen her up. I always knew Heechul had a hosting talent.

KangIn receives warrant for army enlistment in October, but earlier enlistment is possible

Super Junior member KangIn (25) has received a warrant from Office of Military Manpower Administration (MNA) to enlist into the army in October.

But on 22nd May, according to a SM Entertainment representative, there is possibility that KangIn will enlist earlier. The reason is that KangIn has already signed up for enlistment at the MNA.

The SM rep said, “If KangIn’s application for enlistment is acceptable, we were informed that he will be in July.” It is known that KangIn will be enlisting as rank 2, determined by a physical examination he took.
